Crafting a Brand Name & Logo

As a highly successful North Texas realtor, it was clear Christy’s new brand needed a strong, memorable name that spoke to her individuality, love for her clients and love for Texas.

Her last name ‘Hart’ created a fun opportunity to play on a classic song that anyone living (or looking to live!) ‘deep in the heart of Texas’ knows by name.

Understanding Christy’s high-end clientele, I wanted to balance the playful nature of the name with classic black and white, a luxurious serif font and a bold Texas state stamp.

The result is fun, inviting, luxurious, and full of Texas pride - just like Christy herself!

Christy received hundreds of reactions and comments to her big announcement on Facebook - here are a few of my favorites!

Identifying Brand Values

A brand’s strength depends on its authenticity. Prior to creating the name and logo, I considered Christy’s unique personality and work ethic - what makes her so successful in real estate and beloved by her clients? The 5 Brand Values below became the pillars for all facets of her brand development.

Designing a Brand Aesthetic

To mood board the Hart of Texas Brand Aesthetic, I dove in to more of the work and life details that make Christy who she is:

  • Christy is sporty - she loves playing tennis and enjoys going to Dallas Cowboys play

  • Christy is social - she has a packed social calendar and treats every client like a new friend

  • Christy is family-centered - she cherishes time with her husband, kids and grandkids

  • Christy is a tastemaker - she has a great eye, loves to shop, and is a former interior designer

After combining the Hart of Texas Brand Values with more of what makes Christy unique, an authentic, magnetic Joyful Luxury aesthetic began to take shape.

Brand Color Palette

Luxury real estate requires a sophisticated palette. Luxury real estate by Christy Hart requires touches of joy and fun that help sell the Joyful Luxury lifestyle.

At the heart of this palette are her two favorite colors - black and white - along with a deep luxury green. To add pops of color when needed, a Tennis Court Green, Tennis Ball Yellow, and Texas Sky Blue were clear choices. It was important all brand colors would complement her broker’s Caldwell Banker Blue.

Many of Christy’s best clients and referrals come from within the neighborhoods of North Dallas suburbia. When tasked with a neighborhood advertisement, we let the imagery of this photo - Joyful Luxury - speak most for her brand so the messaging could focus on one of Christy’s greatest competitive advantages - free staging by a certified stylist.

Event Concept

Considering the importance of community-building and a steady referral business, I crafted an event concept that would feel authentic and exciting to Christy: an annual Hart of Texas tennis tournament (her favorite sport) benefitting St. Jude’s Research Hospital (her favorite charity).

This event further reiterates the aspirational, Joyful Luxury brand and lifestyle that Christy invites her clients to be a part of.
