Anthony Boddie

Executive, Local Leader & Candidate

As a pillar in his town - known for knowing everyone and showing a genuine, consistent commitment to the community - I knew this logo had to feel so authentically Anthony to all who knew him. But how?

As with every initial meeting, I asked Anthony questions, listened to his answers, watched his body language, noticed when he came across especially energized… and this particular moment stood out far and above the rest: “Mallory, the Boddies are ALL IN.”

When he said those words, his entire face lit up, he sat up straighter, and he sounded so confident. He told me ‘All In’ initially came from a neighbor who was encouraging him to run but that his family had adopted it as their own. It was a telltale sign that ALL IN could become an authentic and magnetic rally cry for the entire community.

Logo & Slogan

The result pops, has great energy, clearly illustrates Anthony’s commitment to his community - and invites the community to be All In with him, too!

Anthony received hundreds of incredible reactions and comments to his campaign announcement on Facebook - here are a few of my favorites highlighting the power of a strong slogan!

Color Palette

I knew Anthony’s color palette had to really stand out. But, how?

That answer came at our first meeting: Anthony was wearing his signature glasses - a pop of color that matched his bright personality - and I knew immediately we needed a pop of color that would energize anyone who saw it.

An electric yellow paired perfectly with the bold teal blue that Anthony used in his first campaign four years prior. I recommended we keep the teal for consistency’s sake and to honor the prior work and journey of his brand.

Designing a Brand Aesthetic

To mood board the Anthony Boddie Brand Aesthetic, I dove in to his personal archive of photographs that, together, clearly demonstrate just how much of his heart and time! go into his community. The number of photographs that I was able to pull from, became the heart of his campaign and a true illustration of what it means to be ALL IN!

Involving the community in his brand was especially successful as it was undeniably authentic and invites voters, students, teachers, - everyone! - to be part of his campaign.

Identifying Brand Values

It was clear the backbone of Anthony’s campaign would be his proven, consistent commitment to his community and school district - and his philosophy on leadership that had made him who he is. I wanted to make this commitment and philosophy more tangible to voters who both knew and did not already know him.

The Leadership Snapshot below is a result of asking Anthony to quantify his commitment with facts - numbers that truly speak volumes!

The leadership model to the right is a visual summary of Anthony’s lens on leadership - with his school board priorities at the center - and is explained in detail on his website.

Anthony had several goals for this website, some initially and some as our work together progressed:

Goal #1: Help Anthony get re-elected to the Fort Mill School Board

Goal #2: Build a scrapbook of community and Fort Mill School District memories

Goal #3: Establish a home outside of social media where the public, personal acquaintances, and professional contacts could get to know and connect with Anthony

Testimonials

Anthony was able to gather more than 75 testimonials from prominent community members and families throughout his district. Showcasing their stories was a big priority, but it came with a big challenge: How to share them all in full, without overwhelming the viewer...

The result was very successful - it gave viewers the option to scan and immediately understand Anthony’s impact OR take the time to read the individual stories.

View Testimonials

Anthony’s daily posting of pictures from his community outings, paired with 3-4 testimonials a week, made for an incredibly authentic and successful social media strategy.

To keep the testimonials from feeling too self-serving (important, even in an election), Anthony started each post with words of appreciation and adoration for the families.

Social Media

Congratulations, Anthony!

On November 5, 2024, Anthony received the highest number of votes among the seven candidates vying for three open school board seats.

He was re-sworn in to the Fort Mill School Board on November 19th.
